SO much has changed and for me, 2016, was a positive year with great changes. I started with Success Recruit 6 months after graduating university and I started my journey with the team back at the very beginning of January 2016.
Vicki and Sam gave me the opportunity to work in a new environment and took a chance on someone who had never worked in the recruitment industry or even an office! I have always had a passion for customer service and communicating with people and I think my love of talking has come from my Maltese family (where you have to speak as quickly as you can to make sure you are heard!) this has had a great synergy for this position. My role has already developed over the last year and I have grown from a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to a Relationship Manager and I am continually being given more and more responsibility which I love!
No two days are the same in Recruitment and it requires a great deal of patience which I have learnt to channel over the past year. Every week we have training which focuses on all different areas of the business. Vicki and Sam work alongside with us to achieve our goals and there is no limit for what they will allow us to achieve.
I have attended many events this year, from our fire walk for SNAP charity, to attending the ‘End of The Year Player’s Awards Evening’ at Essex County Cricket Club, to many networking events held by Success In The City; before I started at Success I never realised how many fun events and organisations I would be able to be a part of. I think one highlight for me this year has been the charity events we attended and our Pitch and Putt day back in the summer that we hosted, where clients, colleagues and local professionals gathered together to raise money for a SNAP
Working in such a positive and open team allows us to achieve the best results, over the next year I plan to continue with my own personal development and grow as an individual. As the team grows I would love to use the skills that I have learnt and put them towards supporting the growing team.
It has been an amazing year and I am very excited for my own journey over the next year and for the future plans of Success Recruit. Our aim as a company is to change the perception of the recruitment industry, this is something we are starting to change and become recognised for daily. It is exciting to be on this journey together and being a small part of a big change!
