Due to England’s unfortunate early exit from the Cricket World Cup the man himself was there along with international team-mate Moeen Ali. The pair were interviewed by our host for the evening, former Essex and England cricketer Ronnie Irani, who also did a great job with the auction of some excellent prizes.
Our special guest for the evening was Soccer Saturday mainstay and Premier League footballing legend Matt Le Tissier. Matt regaled the audience with tales from his playing days and a few from his enviable career watching football for a living on Soccer Saturday. We are not sure the current batch of Premier League footballers would be getting away with some of the antics from back in the 90s!
The sporting cast was completed by Essex legends Paul Grayson and Don (not Dan) Topley and the majority of the current Essex XI were there to make it a great celebration for Ravi.
Plenty of money was raised for the Benefit Year and for the charities of Ravi’s choice; Magic Bus, Lord’s Taverners, Great Ormond Street, Essex Cricket Community Trust and Indian Ocean Disaster Relief. Some diverse and worthwhile causes I am sure you will agree.
Our guests included plenty of local and national businesses; Woodland Group, 4 New Square, I-Pro Sports, Barclays, Lucentum, Laing O’Rourke Construction, Distinction, The Savings Guru, Business Connected and AE Wizard were all present. A big thank you to these companies and the people that came along and made it an excellent night!
All present enjoyed the occasion; Stock Brook Manor served an excellent menu and looked after all those in attendance. This is just the start of what will be a really exciting benefit year for Ravi with some great events lined up both locally and in London.
As always you can find out more information from us at Success Recruit or you can visit the benefit year website at boparabenefit.com.
